Bethesda keeps starts E3 with Doom, Dishonor, Fallout, and a honest to god Pipboy

Pipboy

Bethesda’s E3 press conference just wrapped up and did an amazing job setting Bethesda as the next big studio for ideas in gaming probably since Ubisoft started rolling Tom Clancy games off the assembly line.

First they showed off a chunk of Doom single player, both in bases on Mars and in Hell.  The game looked great and was bloody as hell including the return of gibs which I haven’t seen in a while. Lighting was fantastic and everything felt like there was a weight to it and felt beefy.

Then going into multiplayer they showed off snapmap which really reminds me of Forge from Halo 3 fame with an emphasis on creating mew modes while inside the game.  Forge made multiplayer in Halo really approachable and it builds on the original Doom map making WAD files,  Comes out in the Spring 2016

Dishonored 2 was leaked then fully announced as well tonight with no gameplay but the story trailer showing you will be able to play as both the original protagonist Corvo or as Emily all grown up from her damsel in distress role in Dishonored. No date was announced yet. Speaking of if you didn’t play the original Dishonored there will be a Definitive Edition with enhanced graphics and all the DLC available this fall on PS4, and Xbox One

Fallout4

Finally for the big stuff, Fallout 4.  It looks great.  There’s a ton of customization building camps and weapons and power armor.  The world appears to be massive. The parts before the bomb drops add to the story.  Its great but you knew it would be great.  Lets talk the bonus stuff.

First that pipboy.  Comes in the collectors edition which has been posted for sale yet which gives me time to set up my affiliate account.  Will fit most iOS and Android devices.  The app will work without it but will not nearly be as much fun.

Second is the app Fallout shelter available from the app store now.  Will have a video on our Youtube channel in the morning but from what was shown at the presentation it looks like a cross of X-Com and Simcity.  Im very excited to play it.
